Services

The aim of Paulton Parish Council is to provide quality local services and amenities for the community.  This is achieved by the council issuing a precept on Bath & North East Somerset Council which is then paid by parishioners as part of their council tax bills.  The parish council does not receive any financial assistance from Bath & North East Somerset to maintain, on a regular basis, the cemetery and recreation areas in Paulton.  For the 2008/09 financial year the parish council has raised a precept of £150,000.  This is an annual charge of £88.47 for a band D property in Paulton (£1.70 per Band D property per week).

The swimming pool and village hall have their own management committees and their day to day running costs are funded from the income received.  The parish council assists by funding capital expenditure and the majority of the management costs for the hall and pool.
